Space is limited! Here is the link to the Table Registration Form. Please fill out and mail in.

We have a limited number of full tables (approximately 5 feet) for 25 dollars. Half Tables are sliding scale 0-25. The goal is to have a diverse, exciting collection of tablers and, since we are starting now, to generate a large attending crowd.

But we also need your help and ideas. We are in the initial planning stages of the event. And are considering adding another room connected to the main atrium, perhaps a zine and comic variety show on the eve of the event, and perhaps an art or zine reading room that can serve a few different purposes. For those who attended the SF Zine fest, did the second room seem to work or not?

Our next planning meeting is going to be at Berkeley City College on Monday September 26th at 7pm.

2nd Annual East Bay Alternative Press Bookfair

Hello Bay Area!

As a d.i.y kick in the ass to the holiday shopping season and a way to discover those lovely treasures to wile away the long winter nights, zinesters Tomas Moniz of Rad Dad Zine, Brooke Appler and others are organizing a one day event to celebrate the amazing quality and diversity of independent writing and publishing in the bay area.

The 2nd Annual East Bay Alternative Press Bookfair will take place in downtown Berkeley, at Berkeley City College from 10 am – 4 pm on December 10th. We hope to have 50 different tablers sharing their wares as well as a few activities throughout the day such as readings, workshops, and panels.

The East Bay Alternative Press Festival welcomes all zine-makers, cartoonists, self-publishers, and all sorts of other diy crafters. The majority of items for sale at your table should be handmade (with the exception of commercially- printed publications).

You may return this form via regular post or email to the address listed below. Once we receive your form, we will list you as a contributor.

Final deadline for tables is December 1, 2010.

So the official date is December 11th from 10-4 at Berkeley City College in downtown Berkeley. It is bart and handicap accessible.

Table registration will begin October 12 and the cost will be sliding scale from 0-25 dollars. We will offer mostly half tables with a few whole tables, though whole table attendees will pay the full 25 dollar fee.

Next meeting is Au Coquelet Cafe on October 12th 6-7 pm
